 Ontario Mining Association – So You Think You Know Mining – Offers high school students in Ontario the opportunity to compete for cash prizes by using video to tell stories about the benefits of mining to society. The goal is to enable, inspire and engage the opinion makers and workforce of tomorrow.

North American Palladium participates in an annual “Conquer the Fort” mud run whereby all donations go to the Special Olympics of Ontario.

Modern Mining & Technology Week - Modern Mining and Technology Sudbury (MMTS) is a group of dedicated volunteers from the various Sudbury and area exploration, mining, academic and government organizations. The goal of MMTS is to excite young people about the future of mining innovation in Greater Sudbury. The next generation has to be educated about the abundant variety of career options available to them, and our community has to be proud to live in a place that is recognized world-wide as a centre of mining and technology excellence. MMTS is about enhancing our sector’s continued future growth and ensuring the future sustainability of our community.

The First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program (FNNRYEP) is a 2-year pan-Boreal program (offered by the Confederation College Natural Resources Centre) with the affirmed goal to create awareness, generate interest and provide the pathway for First Nations youth between the ages of 16 to 18 to pursue education, training and employment in natural resource science based sectors such as forestry and mining.

2016 Provincial Mine Rescue Competition - Ontario Mine Rescue, a part of Workplace Safety North (WSN), has trained and equipped thousands of volunteers who have fought fires, rescued injured personnel, and responded professionally to a wide array of incidents in the province's mines over the past eight decades. Their role includes delivering training to first responders, providing consultations, conducting periodic audits, ensuring WSN-owned equipment is maintained to manufacturers' recommended standards, and providing advice during mine emergencies.
Precambrian Research Center - The primary mission of the center is to address the growing demand for well-trained field geologists by providing education and support to upper-level undergraduate students, graduate students, and professional geologists in modern methods of geological mapping and map-making in glaciated Precambrian terrains.

Ontario Prospectors Association - Their objective is to represent and further the interests of the mineral exploration industry and the interests of prospectors. Their mission is to enhance and promote the Ontario mineral exploration and development community to foster a healthy mining industry.

Roots to Harvest - Uses food as the tool to develop transformative experiences for young people in and around Thunder Bay.

Lakehead Thunderwolves - Their mission is to enrich Thunder Bay and Lakehead University by providing opportunities to participate in and celebrate the pride and culture of our community through academic and athletic excellence.
